How We Create and Review Content
Where our dryer repair information comes from, how we label prices and photos, and how to tell us when we get something wrong.

What we publish and why
This site exists to help Plano homeowners understand what is wrong with a dryer, what a fair repair costs, and when to call a professional. We write to give a clear, checkable answer first and the detail after.
Where our facts come from
- Manufacturer manuals. Repair steps, part names and error codes follow the installation and service manual for the dryer in question, which governs over general guidance.
- National Fire Protection Association. Dryer fire statistics come from its Clothes Dryers and Washing Machines fact sheet, and we state the years the data covers.
- Atmos Energy. Gas emergency guidance follows the utility’s published instructions.
- U.S. Census Bureau. Household and housing figures for Plano come from Census and American Community Survey data.
- Hands-on repair knowledge. The diagnostic sequences we describe, such as testing with a meter and checking the vent first, reflect standard repair practice.
How we label prices
Price ranges are typical for the Plano area and are labeled as ranges, not quotes. We update them when we learn they no longer reflect real work. Your exact price is always given in writing before a repair.
How we label photos and case studies
Photos are illustrative unless a caption says they show a specific job. Case studies describe typical repairs built from common patterns and are labeled that way. We do not present any of them as a specific customer.
Reviews and testimonials
We only publish reviews written by real customers, with their permission, and we link to the original where possible. We never write, buy or edit reviews, and we never ask a customer to change or remove one.
How content is written
We use writing and research tools, including AI assistance, to help draft and organize pages. Facts, prices and safety guidance are checked against the sources above before a page is published.
Updates and corrections
Key pages show a review date and are revisited regularly. If you find an error, an out-of-date figure or unclear advice, tell us through the feedback form or the contact page. We correct verified errors promptly.
