Safety comes first
Dryers involve 240-volt electricity, natural gas, heat and lint. Repairs can be dangerous. If you try anything described on this site, unplug the dryer first, and for gas dryers close the gas valve. Stop and call a professional if you are unsure.
If you smell gas, leave the house right away. Do not flip switches or run the dryer. From a safe distance, call 911 and Atmos Energy at 866.322.8667.
Prices are typical ranges, not quotes
Repair cost ranges on the Site are typical for the Plano area and are meant to help you plan. Your actual price depends on the brand, model, the failed part, access and other factors. We give you the exact price in writing before any work starts, and that written estimate is what applies.
No guarantee of results
Every dryer and home is different. Following a guide on this site may not fix your problem, and we cannot promise a particular outcome. We are not responsible for damage that results from repairs you attempt yourself.
